Format

The competition is open to fencers from any member federation of the FIE except Russian Federation and Belarus.
Fencers must have a valid national license if such is in use in his or her federation of residency. A fencer with citizenship outside NFU but residency in one of the NFU member countries must register for the Nordic Championships through the NFU federation and abide with the deadlines, fees and rules set up by this federation.

The teams event is an open competition, allowing additional teams from clubs, non-NFU-federations or mixed teams to participate.

Formula: 1 poule round for seniors, 2 rounds for all other classes. No elimination before DE.

In Swedish fencing competitions, the International Fencing Federation (FIE) regulations and other statutes apply with amendments and additions according to SvFF competition rules.

Jurisdiction

All participants are responsible for their own equipment.

Medical

A healthcare professional (trained in first aid, cardiovascular/pulmonary rescue and sports injuries) must be present at the competition venue. A special place for the competition's medical care function should be visible to all participants and clearly shown.

Remarks

Referee fee (SEK 300:- for U13/U15, SEK 800:- for Teams, SEK 400:- for all other individual starts) is included in the entry fee.
NFU fee is included in entry fees for Nordic Championship classes.

Entrying the competition means committing to as follows.
• Zero tolerance for all forms of abusive discrimination.
• Be an example and a role model.
• Use good behavior and polite language.
• Cheer between hits, not while fencing is in progress.
• Recognize both fencers' effort and performance.
• Coaching may not take place during or between matches in pool or DE matches. This applies to all technical/tactical advice, including hand signals.
• Only active fencers, referees and officials may stay in the piste area.
• Accredited coach sits down on designated chair during DE.
• Respect the referee's decision. Keep your own thoughts to yourself.
• Use the changing rooms to change into and out of fencing clothing
• Wear appropriate clothing everywhere else in the arena.
• Only fencers use the changing rooms (some officials have access).
If someone does not follow the code of conduct, they will be asked to correct their behavior and may be asked to leave the premises.
